Nest of Makers

Miles Sandford is in his final year in the Fashion Design program at TMU (formerly Ryerson University). His primary focus is in using natural and eco-friendly fibres to create beautiful and custom-fitted garments. Although majority of Miles’ work is textile-focused, he also enjoys working in the digital media field.

Currently completing his fourth and final year of Ontario College of Art and Design’s Bachelor of Illustration program, Cole Sandford has distinguished himself amongst his peers through his love of natural media. Although most of Cole’s illustrative work combines watercolour with pen and ink drawing, he often incorporates a variety of printmaking and collage techniques.

A founding partner at Pear Interactive, Maxine Wright’s creative explorations often inhabit the shared space between Maker and Mother. Maxine’s lifelong passion for all things fibre arts has inspired her work in clothing design, quilting, knitting and embroidery. Throughout the years, she has been the voice of encouragement that has pushed each of us past our creative hurdles.

A founding partner at Pear Interactive, Mat Sandford is a veteran communications designer and developer with a passion for making things. Although he welcomes any opportunity to leverage his creativity, Mat most enjoys photography, digital illustration, woodworking and furniture design.
